Students participating in the Color Run tomorrow should wear light and bright colored shirts and shorts that are within dress code. Please remember that clothing will be dusted with lots of color. Also, make sure to bring sunscreen, an extra change of clothes and money for Chillville Snocones. There will be lots of water and Gatorade for participants, and the Fire Trucks will be here to cool students off once they finish. It’s still not too late to sign up!

Sports physicals will be tomorrow beginning at 8:30am. Students that have not paid their $5 should turn it in tomorrow morning to Mrs. Cockrell in the front office.

JET Chorus will be presenting “So You Think You Can Dance” a Dessert Theater tomorrow evening at 7pm. Come enjoy a variety of singing and dancing and some sweet treats!

 “Chalk the Sidewalk” will be this Tuesday, June 4 for students that are signed up. Students need to dress cool, wear hats and sunscreen. They may bring water bottles. Students will also need extra money for concessions and shaved ice. Shaved ice is $3.00.  

Awards days will be June 5th at 9am for 8th grade and June 6th at 9am for 6th and 7th grades. Parents of students receiving recognition at awards day will  receive a postcard in the mail. However, if your student was on the A or A/B Honor Roll for the entire year or if they receive perfect attendance you will not receive a mailed notice, but they will be recognized at awards day. If you have questions, please call the front office.

Rising 8th grade students that placed into Algebra 1 and/or English 1 received a letter on Friday. There will be a parent meeting for these students on Wednesday, June 5th at 2:00pm and 6:00pm. You do not have to attend both meetings. Please pick the time that is most convenient for you.

Online Registration for the 2019/2020 is now available. Registration information was sent home with students Friday. Parents that register their children prior to June 30th will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Walmart gift card.

If your child has medication in the nurse’s office, it needs to be picked up by this Thursday, June 6th. No medication will be held for next school year. Any medication left after June 6th will be properly discarded according to district guidelines.

Please make sure all library books, textbooks and locks for lockers are returned in order to avoid charges for these items.   Charges will follow students into next year if they are not paid.

This Wednesday and Thursday are half days and students will be released at 11:45.

All 6th grade students must have a Tdap shot before starting 7th grade. Please make arrangements over the summer to have your child vaccinated. Current shot records must be turned in to Mrs. Cockrell by the beginning of next school year.
