J-E-T Middle School Students Participate in School Wide Spelling Bee

Johnston-Edgefield-Trenton Middle School (J-E-T) students participated in a school wide spelling bee last week. Amelia Pettigrew, Joanna Wilhite (6th Grade), Jessica Johnson, Ariayanna Padgett (7th Grade), Kayla Williams and DeAnte Nicholson (8th graders) all competed for the title of champion.   In the end, sixth grade student Joann Wilhite became the J-E-T Middle School Spelling Bee champion. “I am extremely proud of Joann, she worked hard and her hard work paid off,” sixth grade teacher Jessica Priest says.

Each student received a participation ribbon, however the winner, Wilhite and the runner up, Amelia Pettigrew both received metals. The district wide spelling bee is to be announced.
