JET remote students will follow their same schedule during this time. Please be reminded that remote students are required to attend the class meetings with their teachers.
If anyone in your household tests positive for Covid 19 during this remote learning please notify the school nurse by calling the school at 803-275-1997. The front office will be available to take calls during normal school hours.

See the district letter below for more information.

Dear Parents:

Over the last several days, the Edgefield County School District (ECSD) has seen a significant increase in the numbers of staff at multiple schools being required to quarantine due to close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or testing positive themselves.

These situations are directly impacting the safe and efficient operation of our buildings and classrooms.

Therefore, beginning tomorrow (Thursday, January 21), all ECSD schools will transition to Full Remote Learning through Friday, January 29. At this time, our plan is to return to In-Person Instruction for all schools on Monday, February 1.  All afterschool activities are also canceled until February 1.  Understandably, the decision to return to school In-Person on February 1 will depend on the status of COVID-19, our staffing numbers in quarantine, and the guidance we receive from DHEC and our local health professionals closer to February 1.

We have determined that many of the COVID-related cases and quarantine situations have come from somewhere other than an ECSD school. Despite the origins of exposure, today’s decision to immediately transition to Full Remote Learning provides a large number of our students and staff an opportunity to complete their quarantine, which should allow us to open on the 1st.

While in Full Remote Learning, instruction is expected to continue - schools are not “closed.”  School staff will be accessible during regular school hours via phone, email, or video conference.  Please contact your child’s teacher or principal for more information.

Thank you for your ongoing understanding and support as we make these difficult yet needed changes.

Meals will be available for pick up every Wednesday between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm at ALL schools. You are asked to pre-order meals by following a link below. Please fill out an order form for the school in which you plan to pick up meals. Please fill out a form for each child requesting a meal.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Bernadette Hudson at 803-275-1788 ext. 1.
